*32 actions: Cross Training for Teaching Myself to Love (Nov. 11) call for actions
Call for actions:
On November 11, 2010, my 32nd birthday, I’ll be performing 32 Actions: Cross Training for Teaching Myself to Love at the Kotbusser Tor U-Bahn station. This is a performance piece patchworked from 32 actions sent by you, my community.
When: 11-11-10, 11:11am-done
Where: Kotbusser Tor, near the blumen und pflanzen shop if super cold, on the upper platform for the 1 line if warmer….
Send Action Suggestions: by email, by November 8th

How to collaborate: Please help me exercise my practice of loving by sending me a suggestion for an action related to the idea of Teaching Myself to Love, within the guidelines below.*
I’m looking at/for loving specifically in these areas:
-Self/body
-Spirit
-Family
-Friends
-Sex
-Romance
-Community

But your suggestions need not be limited or tied to any one of these arenas.

Your suggestion may come from your own practice of loving; it may be something you wish you were doing, could do, or was having done to you; it may be specific to me or something you just want more of in the world. Its connection to the idea may be literal, intuition-based, conceptual, or abstract; the actions can be fun, silly, personal or intense. The idea of Teaching Myself to Love consummated in an action is open to your interpretation. A first step in Teaching Myself to Love is learning to love from others.

I will perform the actions in the order that I receive them, unless some are impossible to do before others, or I get many more than 32 suggestions. In the case of ‘too many’ suggestions I will select 32 that feel most helpful for me to explore. I welcome you to come visit during my performance of the actions, though I’m not sure how long they will take.

*Guidelines for suggestions:
-interactivity is great
-please send actions that require minimal props or specific costuming
-if your action requires props/objects please keep them to things that you:
a. know I already have
b. are able to bring to me to use in the piece
c. are easily obtainable and cost less than 5 euro
-no full nudity- it will probably be very cold. if your suggestion is sexual please use creativity to make it legal/safe(ish)
-each action must take 20 minutes or less to complete
-be as detailed or as simple in your description of your action as you like, you may give me more or less room for interpretation depending on how specific you are.
-1 action per collaborator

You can see a short slideshow of 31 actions, the piece I did last year in San Francisco here: http://sadielune.com/video/

If you are interested in documenting the performance, in video or still photos, or you want to pass it along to someone you think might be interested, please let me know. I would love documentation help. Just so you know, the performance last year took 5.5 hours, so if you’d like to catch all/most of it, know that it may take the whole day (depending on the kinds of actions I receive, of course.)

*Too Much Pussy! extended run at MovieMento Kino
Then the film will have a theatrical run at the cinema starting November 4th.

Too Much Pussy! Feminist Sluts in the Queer X Show is
a documentary, a road movie and an explicit feature.
Activists, artists, writers, musicians, sex workers and porn stars of
various sexual (dis)orientations and gender expressions – they are the
intrepid ‘pussy posse’, hell-bent on championing a feminist manifesto
that sets out to both titillate and educate.
Too Much Pussy follows the wild adventures of seven woman on a
performance art tour across Europe in the summer of 2009. Intersecting
on-the-road encounters with on-stage antics, filmmaker Emilie Jouvet
explores the contentious line between art and pornography, and the raw emotion of life on the tour
circuit.
Features Wendy Delorme, Judy Minx, Madison Young, Sadie Lune, Mad Kate and DJ Metzgerei.

www.pornfilmfestivalberlin.de.

The more explicit version , Much More Pussy! will have it’s WORLD premiere at the festival on friday, october 29th at 6pm.

Much More Pussy! is the porn version of “Too Much Pussy ! Feminist Sluts in The queer X Show”.
It is a special hardcore edit for Porn Film Festival Berlin!

Much More Pussy! is the uncensored version of a sexy road-movie.
It is a porn documentary about the wild adventures of seven women on a performance art tour…. They are activists, artists, writers, musicians, sex-workers, porn stars. They are from Europe and from America. `
They are of various sexual (dis)orientations and gender expressions. The film documents the tour, the life-changing experiences that the seven girls go through, the intersections in their shows and in their lives between pornography and art, performance and reality, personal and political. The camera filmed it all, from the intimate connections building between the girls, from the sexual encounters with the locals.
In Much More Pussy! you will discovered … what’s happen to the girls … BACKSTAGES!
With Wendy Delorme, Judy Minx, Madison Young, Sadie Lune, Mad Kate , DJ Metzgerei,
AND
Elvis, Bobby, Coco Hey, GG, Gilda , Julia and MUCH MORE !

I hope to see you all for sure for the screening of Much More Pussy !

Chatty-chat:

Wow, the wind is literally howling like teenage werewolf out the window as I write you. It’s not only autumn here (Fall is mostly a confusing term to the International crowd) in the, “what a lovely crisp stroll by the canal, all painted with reflections of swaths of rose-gold trees, and oh my look! a canal-side flea market with a couple grilling fish so quaintly and deliciously for only 3 euro 50″ sort of way, (that was Sunday), but as of today, I have deemed the outdoor sex season officially closed for the year in Berlin. Hopefully someone will get riled up by the officiousness of my pronouncement and a surprise warm spell and lure me into an off-season frolic, just to make a point. Speaking of frolicsome points, this week is my first Berlin Porn Film Festival : http://www.pornfilmfestivalberlin.de/pff_e/, which is pretty exciting and will keep me busy off-screen and have me getting busy on-screen.

It’s also my first ever Halloween out of the U. S. of A. My initial plan was to throw a big educational Halloween party to help bring the joys of the season to all the Europeans who grew up without Jack O’Lanterns and trick or treating. But I scrapped that plan when I learned that here it turns out, my favorite holiday is not well received by the International community in Berlin, its mostly seen as a weird example of the ubiquitous and obligatory capitalist American cultural infestation and colonization. So I’ll learn how it feels to make a costume on the fly just for me, spend the day talking about and watching porn, and hopefully get a chance to carve the pumpkin at the Turkish Market. I see what they mean though, the only visible Halloween-oriented propaganda is a smattering of posters advertising pre-fab Halloween parties at the kind of giant mainstream liquor-sponsored clubs we never go to.

What a beautiful day, n’est ce pas, loves?
Today is the day that I mark my total absorption of San Francisco as a
bodily phenomenon, an osmosis of an atmospheric conceptual framework, the
agar in which this current incarnation of me was propagated. March fourth is
what my best dude friend, Phil, and I did seven years ago from the blizzard
lands of Baltimore to the jasmine woven hills of San Francisco. Maybe you
heard the story before (do I tell it every year?) but we lighted on a room
right off the panhandle at about midnight, in a strangers beautiful flat
Phil found on Craigs List. I knew 1.5 people in the city, all met months
befor in the crustified sublime death march of fun: Burning Man. Phil’s
mother and her boyfriend picked us up from the airport, already I was in
love with the botany;I felt sure that we got the sweet end of the deal when
the hardened grey snow we had abandoned in the East was replaced by bristled
red combs of bottle brush trees waggling their unearthly fronds at us on
arrival. (I remember weeks later tasting the slightly piquant, sweet,
irascibly sticky sap from the center of a crimson bloom and getting stuck
with a mouthful of slim red bristles, like stubborn pubic hairs. I would
repeat the experience.) Driving in the buxom darkness my conviction was
reinforced when I spotted a street sign reading “Parnassus”, the name of the
oldest of my snakes.

We dropped our Jetblue-allowed 6 bags (5 for me, one for Phil) in the room
we would share for the next three months like drunken summer camp-mates,
each of us bedding down on a donated air mattress, a dresser between our
heads for a sense of privacy. We went out for a drink, knowing almost
nothing, this was before we would even think to google map or yelp our new
hood! I recognized the Goodwill where years before, while traveling with my
family, I had bought a long skirt, some leggings and a sweater out of East
Coast tourist misconception fueled desperation about the weather of
California in July. We found Aub Zam Zam, for my first of probably two
visits there in the last seven years, and after our “taking it all in”,
self-congratulatory beer, we ran into a girl rolling on wheelie shoes, being
pulled down the street by her dog. She led us to Cala Foods (RIP) we bought
a wedge of Gouda, some chocolate and a jug of Carlo Rossi, and sat on a
bench in the astringent moistly breathing Panhandle, wondering at the magic
of this strip of cool, green night. She gave us some organic drugs, we
stayed up til dawn, and then walked her to the Richmond; meeting her
protests about how far it was with the adamant assertion that we didn’t know
where we were and we had nothing better to do. The next night I don’t
recall. The following I called a stranger who would become my first
anthropomorphic love in the city “You big dork” at a bar where I mistook him
for the 1 of the 1.5 people I knew and was there to meet. The rest is
history.

And so now I have San Francisco deep in my bones, in the ink on my skull,
pressed into the spots on my arms. Here I started growing hairs on my chin
(I remember an early experience on Market St. where a girl stopped me to ask
the time and I was awed by her distinct softly curled beard…”Wow, this
place is sooo cool.” I thought), and I learned the deeper meaning of the
word femme, and I have knocked down the lion’s share of my dreams; like a
long desert road stacked with infinitely regenerating rows of slow-motion
tumbling rhinestone bowling pins. The thought that the city lives inside me
now, the certainty that the great wide ocean is crashing just out of sight
and the sweet cool fog will spill down off the slopes and melt and then
spill down again; this is very comforting to me. I feel like I can go
anywhere now, set up camp and still hold the colorful condensed peaks of
architecture under my skin, the swarming schools of people in my cells.

Today I took a walk around the neighborhood, had Bi Rite ice cream for
breakfast, the sexy bee lady at the local fancy honey store surprise bought
me coffee, I got jasmine and wonderfully exploding camillia flowers in my
hair, and a Papalote burrito for dinner. In other words, I had a gorgeous
adulthood-San Francisco-style day. I now my house is full of Swedes and and
a Ukranian and a Gina, all happily typing in a chorus of Mac song.
